CommonSpirit Health is a nonprofit, Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people. It was created in February 2019 through the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health.
The Midwest Division has about 12,500 employees and 4,122 employed physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
Our Mission
CommonSpirit Health is committed to creating healthier communities. We seek to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure that every person has access to quality health care.
Our mission is to “make the healing presence of God known in our world by improving the health of the people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while we advance social justice for all.”
We aspire to create that healthier future - inspired by faith, driven by innovation and powered by our humanity - by living our guiding principles of Compassion, Inclusion, Integrity, Excellence and Collaboration.
In Fiscal Year 2022, the Midwest Division invested more than $265.3 million back into our communities. Most of those dollars went to caring for the poor and underserved.
