Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

For children and adolescents ages 8-18*

The CHI Health Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term treatment program for patients age 8 to 18, with an IQ of 70 and above, who are experiencing difficulty coping with stress in their daily lives but do not require 24-hour supervision.

Located at CHI Health Immanuel and CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, we provide intensive support and daily focused treatment that helps each youth patient become successful and happy in their lives. The average length of stay is two to three weeks. Discharge planning begins on the day of admission.

Each patient referred is screened to determine the appropriateness of partial hospitalization services. Patients may participate if they meet criteria, are able to function independently and plan to actively participate in the program.

*Ages 8-18 accepted at the Immanuel location; ages 8-17 accepted at the Mercy Council Bluffs location.
